Warriors!

 

We are pleased to announce that the game client has been updated to version 1.0.037 – the Age of Antiquity

List of changes, fixes and implements

 

1 : New Trials

All Trials have been changed:

 

Small Crypt

Abandoned Crypt

Ancient Crypt

Underground Lake

Werewolf Lair

Elenium Shards

The Temple of Mara

Bone Crypt

Old Puppet Factory

Three Corridors

Poisonous Crypt

 

Trials were rarely visited by players and often were too risky for the lonely adventurer.

 

So, the time has come to stop monsters ravaging in these forlorn places and some major revisions have been made to engage more players!

 

In addition, generous new bounties have been announced for heads of all monster gangs!

You can access these daily missions at special message boards in Varlone City, Elgore or Quedock where you specifically take the Quest – no more accidental clicking on a crypt stone in the playing area – so the Stone Crosses are no more !

 

Every Trial has one new permanent entrance now.

 

Trials have been re-worked for PARTY engagement.

 

Some things have been simplified:

 

Some traps have become proportionately less dangerous.

 

All Trial monsters are now Elites and have been given different buffs, to detect invisible targets  and to slow enemy movements.

 

Their Hit points have been considerably increased as has XP gained from the Kill.

 

Due to these detailed changes in the Trials, new Achievements for Success have been added to the Achievement Table. Old achievements have been moved to the Legacy tab and you will be able to see them only if they were obtained before this patch.

 

Reward for Success in Trials includes more gold and experience.

All Trials end with an End of trial Boss and once the Boss is defeated you will be awarded a special Trial Chest. The chest may contain some new drops - NEW totems (including A class) and/or recipes for creating slotted totems.

 

The higher Trial's level the less chance to drop a totem.

 

All non-slotted totem drops are Personal but recipes are  tradable. Any slotted totem crafted from a recipe will also be personal.

 

2 : Fragments of Antiquity

 

Don't forget to visit Darin the Blacksmith in Varlone before you venture on your Trials!

 

Darin gives you a new quest now: he offers you a box containing a brand new costume in exchange for new items called Fragments of Antiquity.

 

Fragments of Antiquity drop from Trials' bosses!

 

 

3 : Royal Bounty

 

Now every player logging in to the game will receive a box with Daily Reward of selected Premium Store items including Improvement Items.

 

Rewards will be displayed in the Character Selection Window. If you miss a day you will be able to pick your reward only for the next day. The more times you log in to play Royal Quest – the more rewards you will receive and the more valuable will be the next reward.

 

A maximum 25 rewards are awarded each calendar month, and on the 1st of each new month the Rewards Counter is reset.

 

The Daily Rewards timer resets at the same time as all other with daily quests -  00:00 GMT/UTC.

 

 

4 : Party Loot Distribution

Options Random and Leader have been removed and a new option has been added:

 

Party Loot. Now when a rare item drops every party member will see a selection window:

 

Need - if you specify you are going to use the item note you need it and get Priority when rolling dice.

 

Wouldn't Mind - if you don't need the item but would feel like to sell it.

 

Refuse - you may just close the window and not to take part in the voting/rolls.

Those who need the item roll dices first. Luckiest gets the prize. If nobody feels they need the item those who would like to sell it roll dice.

 

5 : System Changes in obtaining experience.

 

Now, obtained experience is calculated according to the difference between the player and the killed monster. If the difference is 5 and less levels the player will get the total amount of experience for that monster.

 

Beginning with 6 levels difference – HIGHER OR LOWER - obtained experience decreases with 20%. The greater difference the less experience is gained.

 

If the difference reaches more than 25 levels, the player gets ZERO experience on a kill.

 

The same goes for high-level players killing low-level monsters and for players in party.

 

If one of party members is more than 5 levels higher low-level party companions get less experience - or even ZERO if the difference is more than 25 levels.

 

Rates of experience bonus for party size have also been changed. Every party member provides an additional 4% experience to all the party up to a maximum of 30% for 8 party members.

 

6 : High Level Bosses

 

Low level artifacts, rings and amulets have been removed from the drop of high level bosses.

 

Maintenance and other server shutdowns no longer affect boss/elite timers.

 

Logic of enrage has been re-worked. Enrage timers and enrage itself became steadier.

 

 

 

The following world bosses have been reworked:

 

Edward

 

Edward will use Whirlwind and Dancing Lightning skills less often and he won't be able to summon alpha mobs. He can talk in the chat now.

 

Archon

 

Archon's Paralyzing Cobweb won't apply Ailment debuff anymore, and Archon won't be able to steal mana/energy by himself. Only Neurotoxin and summoned helpers will keep this ability. Archon will change target less often now and won't become invisible.

 

Hugo

 

Hugo will have a much greater HP amount but his bombs and summoned gogs will become weaker and their flashlights less dangerous.

 

 

7 : Skills and Talents Changes

Mage

 

Now the maximum amount of Might effects from Harvest skill fit the description (4 at most).

 

Error fix: Using Geyser skill and Avalanche talent mage could previously get more than 2 seconds of Invigoration effect.

 

Now Mirror of Reality skills absorbs healing on 300% of mage's attack. Damage of corrupted healing may be critical. Mirror of Reality's charge is displayed now as a counter - for handy viewing.

 

 

 

Hunter

Now Beast’s Growl skill of the wolf form consumes Focus according to description.

 

A tamed creature can no longer be stolen from an owner in duel by Tame Creature skill. The only way now to tame a creature is to tame it in its habitat.

 

If Camouflage skill is used in combat in consumes 3 points of Focus and hides the hunter in invisibility for 10 seconds.

 

Sniper & Hunter

 Roland V, Roland VI and Dummy now have a visible timer displaying life span.

 

 

Assassin

 

Withdrawal into Shadow skill with Escape talent of assassin can now remove negative effects of Natural Selection, Plague and Toxin.

 

Vendetta effect has got an accurate text description.

 

Survival Instinct passive skill has got indicator with counting down till cooldown but it is visible only for its owner.

 

 

All classes

 

Now Massacre, Leader of the Pack, Circle of Healing, Nosferatu Seal skills don't remove the character's invisibility if received healing does not affect other party members.

 

Now activating of passive skills of Rune of Madness (Warlock), Mirror of Reality (Sorcerer), Other World (Dark Knight) applies Running of Peril effect with timer  which allows to make sure that defensive ability did not work indeed.

 

Strong Armor now gives 3% defence for every effect.

 

Effects dealing periodic damage (DoT) don't ignore part of defence but are able to deal critical damage. Basic damage of such effects is decreased by 1.7 times. Changed effects are: Burning, Pain, Chaos, Bleeding, Contusion, Chill, Shock, Plague. Parasite ignores defence as before.

 

8 : Minor changes

 

When replacing a card you will see dialogue window asking to confirm your intention.

 

Progress of the Royal Hunt does not advance in dungeons anymore.

 

Now you can't drop Undead Exterminator Gloves in Incubator.

 

Now any additional loot dropped due to certain cards' features is accessible only to the card owner.

 

The following Expendables effects don't expire when character is offline:

 

Cotton Candy, Cranberry Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Holiday Cake, Soda, Herbal Tea, Sparkling Wine, Flybane Tincture, Furious Bumblebuzz Cocktail, Red Fizz, Plonk, Grass Chewing Gum, Mount Feed, Curare, Troll's Potion.

 

You can't invite a character to guild, party or friends while he is in combat.

 

Now the party enters combat mode irrelevant of distance between party members only in PVE dungeons and Key Master's Labyrinth.

 

The Red Help button for contacting Support has been moved to Menu. It has a new name now: Report an Error.

 

Summoning Stones now have a cooldown of 15 seconds. Casting time for this item in combat is increased to 12 seconds.

 

Dialogue window for confirmation of entering Xenos Tower has been

removed.

 

A monster dealing a hit has a 30% chance to slow a character. The more monsters in the area around a character, the higher chance of this happening.

 

The Card of the Giant Tortolla now works according to its description and allows to ignore slowdown applied by monsters' hits.

 

Scale for

800 х 600, 848 х 480, 960 х 540, 1024 х 768, 1152 х 864, 1280 х 720, 1400 х 1050, 1600 х 900 resolutions have been diminished.

 

Drop of expendables in Underground Lake, Werewolf Lair, Elenium Shards, The Temple of Mara, Bone Crypt, Old Puppet Factory, Three Corridors, Poisonous Crypt have been substituted by relevant loot of low quality. Random loot and expendables have been removed from the Geometers' Mausoleum.

 

If a character is not active for 8 or more hours he gets Rest effect Doubling all obtained experience. Now Rest bonus can be obtained without 8-hour waiting. Just leave your character in Varlone City and he will begin to accumulate Rest. Rest bonus is not available for characters of 60 level anymore.

 

Notice bubble for new items has been added for golden chest in the Character Selection Window. Also fixed: error with paging when you take the last item at the page.

 

Monsters digging from underground (zombies, scarecrows) can't

be alpha-monsters anymore.

 

Logic for the aggressive behaviour of monsters spawning next to

a party has been changed. Now they will attack the nearest player.

 

Now you don't need to fill subject line sending items by ingame mail.

 

Effect-indicator of cooldown of Righteous Protection's passive skill should not be visible now to anybody except of the owner.

 

Active skills of totems can't be activated now: they effect with a chance due to some actions in the game.

 

 

9 : Chat Implementations

 

New chat channels have been added: Party Search and Trade. These work across all locations.

 

Now you can't link items in Location and Party Search chat channels.

 

Special Battleground mode has been implemented. When you enter Arena or Battleground all active chat tables are blocked and a new Arena/Battleground tab is created. Only one chat channel is accessible in this mode: for communication with the party. You can't create other channels or communicate with adversaries.

 

Now you can't send Whisper message to a player who fights at Battleground.

 

Now when you click on the link in the chat a window opens, displaying information of any item (not only equipment).

 

Now buttons for operating tabs and moving chat window become transparent too.

 

Active tab is highlighted by yellow.

 

 

10: Known errors fixed

 

The Guard's form does not increase attack anymore. Basic skills damage in this mode is re-counted with consideration of hits frequency's slowdown.

 

Description of Swasher talent (Thief) has been fixed and effect of the talent has got pop-up tip. Using Lunge, Double Strike, or Sudden Strike with this talent increases all direct damage. The effect stakes of using these skills as before.

 

Thief: an error has been fixed when a character could use Spring

whilst sitting.

 

Visual error displayed when a character changed weapon while sitting has been fixed.

 

In preview of creation's result the item is properly displayed as personal.

 

 

"Removes negative effects" line in Bandages description has been removed.

 

Typo in description of Temptation effect applied by Guardians has been fixed.

 

Error in description of Sip of Booze skill has been fixed according to the skill's performance (description of removing negative effects for Cunning points added).

 

Description of Robber's Fire talent has been clarified.

 

Sorcerer: animation of burning ground after using Meteor spell has been fixed.

 

Inaccuracies in description of Escape, Secret Operations and Blinding displayed in preview by Rogue talents of Assassin or Thief have been fixed.

 

Two errors of Guard's form have been fixed: error in the mechanism

of cancellation change into Guard which allowed to remove negative effect of Transformation (Mage) and error in Guard's basic attack available under control effects.

 

Thief: description of Suddenness talent has been changed according to the talent's mechanics.

 

Description of Blinding effect has been updated: the effect prevents discovering of hidden targets.

 

An error has been fixed when a character using Healing Charge tried to heal the previous target - player's store.

 

Now the Tilde (~) key properly removes target and works in regard to any characters.

 

Now placing cursor to a line in pets window properly triggers a tip with the pet description.

 

Out-of-date option "Limited movement when casting AoE spell" has been removed.

 

Auto expand of characters' nicknames when sending letters has been added.

 

11 : More changes

 

Now items dropped from personal or bound-to-account boxes also become personal or bound-to-account.

 

Now reset of chat options to default does not cause errors.

 

Error causing failure when changing party loot options has been fixed.

 

Chance to create slotted Pipistrelle Totem has been decreased from 80% to 60%.

 

Fragments of Antiquity are not removed from your backpack if you abandon the quest.

 

After you abandon the quest you may discard Fragments anytime and they will be destroyed.

 

Now pets pick items in Party Loot mode, including those gained by roll dice.

 

Attempt to pick fresh dropped rare item starts voting.

 

Now loot drop from mob kills disappears 120 seconds after it was dropped and is not available for other players. In Party Loot mode time is counted after the end of rolling dice.

 

Hunter: an error allowing use of Camouflage again before the end of cooldown has been fixed.

 

Description of Parasite skill: error in calculation of damage has been

fixed.

This new loot system is bad. Need the Leader Loot Option back. How its set up now every person has a change to roll/ get items. Its better when doing bosses and elites that the leader gets the loot. Of course the leader is someone the party trust. But now if a person says  " i want option" they have change to win roll and run off with rare item or even boss card. At this point dont even party unless you trust everyone there to not run off with the loot . Many many greeding ppl.   And im sure most dont want to chance some nub or greedy person running off with items. This new system is bad.

This new system is fair. Like you said everyone gets a chance to roll for items regardless of rarity. I don't see the problem here. Its fine the way it is. Even if its a boss card why would it be different if the leader of the guild has the cards? So he can dictate who gets the boss card? That doesn't seem fair at all. This new system will insure that every player gets equal opportunity. Be prepared to see a level 49 with a Card of Des merely for participating in the fight. I welcome these changes biggrin.png

You don't spend months on end farming elite cards so you wouldn't know the feeling. Yes it's fair but this game and and life is not fair. There's a reason the people who have cards have them. And Im for one not going dps or work hard and chance a nub running off with a des card or any elite.

Yes I'm fine with a leader who chooses who gets card.granted it's not fair but Imo I don't care. If others have problems they can join another guild. Most time it's roll in party tho.

I like this change. At least I will have a chance on rolls especially if they're gonna be elite or boss cards. Not whomever the leader wants to give it to. It doesn't matter who he wants to give it to. But everyone in the party is entitled to have it because they helped killing the boss and should have an equal opportunity.

There are greedy people however, so the only way to control this is just pick who you want to invite in the party. This way you can control the drops even if you don't get the roll.

Exactly, just invite people who you trust for farm the boss/elite, or what the point to invite people to help kill boss/elite and the guy have no chance to get the loot? (YEAH SUPER FAIR THIS)

By the way, For what dark said this loot system is bad. I object, This is perfect slap for greedy people.

 You said party option should be by leader because leader is someone you trust. You just saying this or trying to fool people?. it seems you haven't understood the patch correctly.

If leader is someone you trust then all party members can choose 'Refuse' option and only Leader will choose 'Need' option don't you think? your 'trust worthy' friends from guild will choose 'Refuse' option right? Ofcourse they will...you guys have such beautiful trusts between you guys right? after all you played for 6 years, and still took time to understand this smart move but no worries i explained you now. You don't need 'leader' option smile.png

Do we have any info on those new totems yet? I saw the russian one. However the translation is bad, so I can't understand some of them.

Lol, we can only do trials once/day. :(. There it goes the moneymaking of a few people. The loot Rolls should only be applied to trial, imo.

Btw, that nerf on Mirror its so NICE (ironic)

 

And nothing happen to Cruser.. come on! 

 

Mirror do less dmg than ANY healing of Cruser... now I am gonna join arena and see cruser just walking around and healing, cuz I can't kill him, and for sure no one cruser can kill me (or any mage and other class). 

 

 

Oh remember, any Cruser 4x have 12k hp some have 14/16k and.

 

Mirror do 2k dmg now. Ty

 

 

Oh I see, nerf on Totem Zatras too, and buff on Healing Totem. and GUESS Crusers again. 

 

Why just dont remove all dmg skills from Sorc and make it full supp?

Crusader's defense tree end talent still doesnt scale of his own defense does it?

Only in quest instances: Mortoc, Slugga, Incubator, Trials. Too easy way to fill Royal Hunt chest.

I guess this means when I have the Rat Queen quest I won't be getting help on it now because the higher levels won't like that I have a chance at the card now too?

 Not like I want the card but I guess I can forget about asking my level 60 friends for help now when I get that quest. I'm trying to see how this is better? sad.png

Might as well forget that quest when I get it... *sigh*

While I had questioned the elimination of being able to pick up abandoned loot, I can understand some of the thought behind it. I admit, as lower level, I had often waited for the common items for board bounties to become available.  :D

Email is inserted automatically when you open the report interface: your registered email in the game. No need to enter it. 

 

If a player picked some loot and then discarded, the item is still available for other players.
