Myself an my wife play MMO's together.. She discovered Royal Quest about a week ago and brought me into it as well. The thing she enjoys most about MMOs is a good crafting system, but she detests PVP. I'lll endure PVP if I have to, and I'm more of a PVE guy. Initally, we thought the system that was here worked great - I would collect most of the materials, and she would craft stuff.

Since you all play this game, you already know how that won't work out. And you already know the two reasons, but I'll point them anyway:

- crafted items are personal

- crafting requires entering a PVP area

So, a double whammy to our style of play. And it may ultimately lead to us leaving.

This seriously needs to be changed. A good MMO requires a good crafting system. Royal Quest has potential, but requiring PVP elements to it is a backwards step. And a lot of people would prefer to go through a game by crafting, not by fighting.

I think crafted items should be made personal once worn, kind of like re-sealed gears. As for the items needed from the PvPvE mobs, I see it as a "Risk/Reward" sort of situation although unnecessary.

So, rather than insult me for not having all the information, how about explaining how one gets the Alchemical Runes to craft without being in a PvPvE area?

He said crafted items, not crafting items.

There isn't a "problem" with the crafting system. You're forced to do it in a PvP area and given only personals in return as a way to make the game more fair (and challenging) - if everyone that had tons of gold (probably from selling real cash items) was able to get top tier equips before everyone else because many random no-combat crafters could make items without risks and limitations, the game would end up unbalanced (and possibly P2W).

- crafted items are personal

jGTbbV8.png

This recipe does not create a personal item.

- crafting requires entering a PVP area

The above recipe does not need to enter a PVP area.

332x Blue Elum (From splitting armour at the matter splitter on EAST side for Varlone)

3x Mithril Fabric (Use Mithril ore [found around the map] and flax [from bushes] then goto Loom on EAST side for Varlone)

45x Glimmering Bumblebuzz Carapace (Kill Glimmering Bumblebuzz in Mistgan)

50x Titanium Plates (Kill Mantis' in Great Fissure)

60x White Sand (Kill Crabs in Andyopolis)

85x Ant Feelers (Kill Ants at Soaring Valley)

Those are all non-pvp areas.

This was an example. There are other recipes.

Every crafted Item ive made was personal

It tells you if it makes a personal item or not. PVP vendor by caves== personal item.

All (correct me if I'm wrong) PVP vendor recipes will craft as personal. Open world drops are always (in my limited experience) crafted as non-personal.

Explains my thought, I still haven't gotten an open world recipe drop....

Well, lots of back and forth. I think crafted items should never be personal as it adds another dynamic to the market. Eg. Craft a c class item for a chance at a trippy seal throw some basic cards in and - put up on ah for profit - something to that tune.
